HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2012 has gotten off to a fantastic start, MIKE IS COMING HOME! He'll be back in Hawaii shortly after Rylee and I return, a whole 2 months early!

Rylee is just growing like crazy! He's in his 3 month clothes and is curious about everything. He's ready a month old. Where has the time gone?

Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all got to enjoy time with family and friends. As for us, Mike is still traveling back to Afghanistan, and Rylee and I spent Christmas Eve with my family and went to church and the next morning opened presents and the went to see Mikes family at his grandparents house.

Rylees first Christmas went very well. We asked that his gifts not be top big, we still have to go back to Hawaii!

Although we enjoyed Christmas Eve and Day, we both now have colds :( Rylee is sniffly and fussy when he isn't sleeping. I just get a daily migraine accompanied by exhaustion and coughing. Hopefully it won't last long!

Quick update

Not to much new to report. Rylees umbilical stump fell off this morning! I have to say, it's a little gross.
Mike has been gone since Wednesday, Rylees misses his daddy. I know this because he's been unusually fussy the last few days since hes been gone :( it breaks my heart not having Mike home. Only a few more months to go.

Sad day

Today is a sad day for Rylee and I. Daddy left to go back and finish his deployment. We miss him so much already, and can't wait to have him home for good.
Now it's time to start planning our way back to Hawaii.

Rylees' first week

I can't believe it's already been a week! Our first few days were spent in the hospital. We brought Rylee home on December 5th. He was greeted by his big brothers Milo and Ranger, our dogs. Ranger LOVES Rylee, and was licking his ears and sniffing him. Milo is very curious and a little unsure of what Rylee is. We also brought him out to meet the horses. Flash wasn't very interested but Lola seemed to like him.
All in all, our first week with Rylee has been a great one. He is such a wonderful baby and an absolutely perfect addition to our family.
